Scope of the Internship
The UNICEF internship programme provides practical assignments to enhance the educational experience of interns and support UNICEF offices with specialized skills. As a Research Intern (Knowledge Management and Research), you will:
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge Management:
- Support knowledge management initiatives and dissemination of research findings.
- Produce knowledge products, summaries, policy briefs, and content for internal and external platforms.
- Organize and facilitate virtual events, knowledge exchanges, and meetings.
- Maintain internal databases of partners and resources.
- Research and Data Analysis:
- Collect, compile, transcribe, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Visualize data and review secondary data as needed.
- Assist in drafting research reports, publications, and other knowledge management products.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation of all data.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Contribute to tasks within the functional profile of the NCO, supporting the efficient operation of programs.
- Engage with supervisors through bilateral coaching sessions to enhance learning objectives.

Education:
- Current or recent graduates in economics, international relations, public policy, statistics, finance, international development, education, public health, communication, social science, social welfare, liberal arts, or related fields.

- Experience drafting research briefs or articles is an asset (recent writing samples recommended).
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, communication, and analytical skills.
Languages:
- Fluent in English; knowledge of a local language is an asset.
