Background & Job Description

The Grants and Partnerships Lead will oversee IRC Pakistan’s business development, grants management and partnership portfolios.

The position involves working with programme, finance, MEAL, operations and other teams while maintaining relationships with donors, fund managers, consortium leads, partners, government counterparts and private-sector actors.

Tasks

Key responsibilities include:

Leading resource mobilization and partnership strategy.
Developing and reviewing concept notes and proposals.
Identifying funding opportunities and maintaining the funding pipeline.
Managing donor relationships and funding diversification activities.
Supporting contract reviews, amendments and donor negotiations.
Overseeing narrative and financial reporting.
Ensuring compliance with donor and IRC requirements.
Coordinating partner selection, due diligence and vetting.
Supporting partner capacity strengthening.
Representing IRC in donor and coordination meetings.
Managing and mentoring the Grants and Partnerships team.

The role also involves collaboration with IRC regional and headquarters teams on funding opportunities and award management.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, International Relations, Economics, Finance or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered instead of a postgraduate degree.

The vacancy requires:

At least 8 years of progressive experience in business development, awards management or partnerships.
At least 3 years of team management experience.
Experience leading business development functions within an international NGO.
Understanding of the Pakistan operating and regulatory environment.
Experience with complex donor-funded programmes.
Experience working with institutional donors such as USAID, FCDO, ECHO, UN, DFAT, EU and BHA.
Strong knowledge of contracts, agreements and compliance.
Excellent writing, communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong English language skills.
