UNITAR is seeking an Individual Contractor for administration, procurement and project support in Geneva, Switzerland. The 11-month consultancy requires a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience.

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is recruiting an Individual Contractor – Administration, Procurement, Project Support in Geneva, Switzerland. The consultancy is part of UNITAR’s Social Development Programme and has an 11-month contract duration.

Background & Job Description

UNITAR’s Social Development Programme provides training to local actors to strengthen their capacity to support sustainable development, with a focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda.

The selected contractor will work under the direct supervision of the Director and support procurement, administration and project implementation, including training activities and workshops.

Tasks

The contractor will:

  • Support the coordination and implementation of programme projects and workshops.
  • Provide updates on administrative procedures, including the Carte de légitimation (CDL) process.
  • Prepare procurement documentation according to UNITAR guidelines.
  • Identify vendors and collect quotations.
  • Prepare and submit Requests for Purchase (RFPs).
  • Track incoming and outgoing invoices and follow up on pending payments.
  • Support logistical arrangements for training activities and workshops.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout procurement and project activities.

Qualifications

Education

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in:

Experience
