Background & Job Description

UNU-Centre Finance provides financial services across the University, including financial policy, budgeting, reporting and analysis, treasury management, internal controls, risk management, accounting and ERP system administration.

The intern will support financial and operational activities while gaining practical experience in an international organization.

Tasks

The intern may assist with:

Researching and analyzing information for finance policies and procedures.
Collecting, validating and analyzing financial data.
Preparing reports, presentations and financial documentation.
Supporting meetings, agendas, minutes and correspondence.
Maintaining and improving the Finance Intranet.
Supporting training and knowledge-sharing activities.
Assisting with special finance projects.

Qualifications

Applicants should be studying Finance, Business Administration or a related field.

Candidates must be either:

In their final year of undergraduate study;
Enrolled in a graduate degree programme; or
Within two years of graduating from a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD programme.

Useful skills include:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
