Background & Job Description

The role supports an IRC protection-focused project funded by IOM. The project aims to improve access to protection and legal assistance services and strengthen community and stakeholder capacity in five target districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The MEAL Officer will support programme monitoring, data management, analysis, reporting, evaluations and accountability activities.

Tasks

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting implementation of MEAL plans.
Developing monitoring dashboards and analysing project indicators.
Collecting, entering and validating programme data.
Conducting data quality assessments and audits.
Developing data collection and monitoring tools.
Participating in project monitoring activities.
Preparing regular monitoring reports.
Supporting surveys, assessments and evaluations.
Helping programme teams make data-informed decisions.
Supporting beneficiary feedback and complaints mechanisms.
Documenting lessons learned and programme results.
Preparing case studies and human-interest stories.
Maintaining monitoring and data documentation.

The role also requires regular field monitoring and travel within community and outreach areas.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, while a Master’s degree is preferred. Relevant fields include:

Social Sciences
Statistics
Economics
Related disciplines

The vacancy requires at least three years of work experience with an NGO, INGO or similar organization, including at least two years of relevant MEAL experience, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.

Candidates should also have experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, reporting and monitoring and evaluation.

Strong communication, coordination, report-writing and data-quality skills are required.
