The MSF Project Manager position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced project management professional to lead a major technology transformation with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
MSF is recruiting a Project Manager to lead the transition from its existing SAP BFC system to a new cloud-based Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution. The role is based in Geneva, Switzerland, or another MSF office sufficiently close to Geneva to allow regular travel to the Geneva office.
The assignment is intended to run for three years, with the successful candidate expected to start as soon as possible.

About the MSF Project Manager Role
The new EPM system will play an important role in MSF International’s finance ecosystem. It will support financial consolidation, planning, management reporting, forecasting and analysis while improving how financial information is collected and processed across the organization.
The MSF Project Manager will lead the project from implementation through rollout, ensuring that the system is delivered on time, within budget and according to agreed requirements.
The position will work with a broad range of stakeholders, including the International Finance Team, finance directors, system users, IT teams, the Steering Committee, external consultants, solution providers and implementation partners.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining the project plan and delivery roadmap.
- Monitoring progress, quality, risks and project performance.
- Overseeing data migration and system integration.
- Ensuring cybersecurity, privacy and access requirements are addressed.
- Managing the project budget and funding.
- Coordinating internal teams and supporting change management.
- Communicating project progress to senior stakeholders and the Steering Committee.
- Managing external consultants, vendors and implementation partners.
- Supporting tendering and vendor selection processes.
- Managing contracts and monitoring supplier deliverables.
- Ensuring appropriate project documentation, testing and governance.
- Preparing the final project close-out report.
Who Can Apply?
MSF is looking for an experienced professional with at least 10 years of experience working with business applications, including at least four years in project management roles.
Candidates should have experience in project management, change management, stakeholder engagement, communication, budget management and risk management. Experience selecting vendors for business applications, particularly cloud-based solutions, is also desirable.
Knowledge of modern EPM solutions, financial consolidation, financial planning and management reporting would be an advantage.
Applicants should also be comfortable working in multicultural and international environments. Fluency in English is required, while French or Spanish would be an advantage. Knowledge of PMBOK or PRINCE2 is also desirable.
Experience working with international NGOs or non-profit organizations is highly desirable.
