Oxfam People and Culture Business Partner: Permanent Full-Time Global Opportunity

Oxfam is inviting applications for a People and Culture Business Partner to join its international organisation in a permanent, full-time position. The opportunity is open to candidates in any location where Oxfam has an established office or can legally hire or contract.

The role is ideal for an experienced human resources, people management or organisational development professional who can work strategically with senior leaders while helping organisations build effective, inclusive and people-centred workplaces.

About the People and Culture Business Partner Role

The People and Culture Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner to the relevant Hub Director, management teams and staff. The successful candidate will lead and deliver people-related priorities that support Oxfam International’s organisational objectives.

Rather than focusing solely on traditional HR administration, the position is designed to connect people strategy with organisational performance. The successful candidate will act as a trusted adviser to the business, helping leadership teams address workforce priorities, organisational effectiveness and people management.

Key responsibilities will include supporting People, Culture and Ways of Working (PCW) projects and initiatives in line with Oxfam’s wider confederation strategy. The role will also involve providing specialist expertise in relevant HR areas for Oxfam International Secretariat and contributing to the broader People and Culture community across the Oxfam confederation.

This makes the position particularly suitable for professionals who are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels and who can translate organisational priorities into practical people solutions.

What Oxfam Is Looking For

The People and Culture Business Partner will need to build effective relationships with senior leaders, managers and employees across the organisation. Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills will therefore be important.

The successful candidate should be able to understand organisational challenges, provide practical HR advice and help management teams make informed people-related decisions. Experience in strategic HR business partnering, organisational development, talent management or related people functions would be valuable for this type of position.

The role also requires someone who can contribute to organisation-wide initiatives while understanding the specific needs of different teams and operational environments.
