Overview of the Role
The Research Partnership Manager will:
- Identify, cultivate, and manage partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and consortia

- Support capacity-building initiatives for CARE staff and partners
- Lead fundraising and grant coordination for research partnerships

Key Responsibilities for Research Partnership Manager at CARE
Strategic Partnership Development
- Map potential research partners and conduct due diligence
- Negotiate agreements and formalize collaborations
- Engage and manage research students, interns, and fellows
- Enhance CARE’s research visibility and footprint
Collaborative Research & Evidence Generation
- Co-create and implement research projects with external partners
- Provide technical guidance on research methodologies
- Ensure ethical, contextually relevant, and high-quality evaluations

Knowledge Management & Learning
- Synthesize evidence and lessons learned from research partnerships
- Develop learning briefs and organize dissemination events

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in International Development, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of research, evidence, or partnership experience in international development
- Proven experience building and managing research partnerships
- Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Project management skills including planning, budgeting, and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or specialized training in research methods, statistics, or evaluation
- Experience with fundraising for research projects
- Proficiency in Spanish or French
