Overview

The UNDP Internship Programme 2026 provides an exceptional opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain real-world experience in global development, talent management, and organizational strategy. This fully funded internship runs for six months and supports the implementation of UNDP’s People for 2030 Strategy and People Development Strategy.

Interns join UNDP’s Talent Development Unit (TDU), Office of Human Resources, and work directly on initiatives to strengthen employee learning, leadership development, onboarding systems, capability building, and internal communications.

This internship is based in-person and offers the chance to collaborate with senior UN staff, join UN city networks, and receive professional learning support.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree
  • Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Graduated within the last 12 months and can start within one year of graduation

Required skills:

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English
  • MS Office proficiency

Preferred skills:

  • Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, Canva/Adobe Suite
  • French or Spanish (asset)
