Role Summary
The Programme Management Officer (PMO) will lead the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the “True Value Accounting” initiative in India — an innovative program designed to measure and promote sustainable food systems transformation through the TEEB AgriFood Framework (The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity for Agriculture and Food).

Key Responsibilities for Programme Management Officer
- Programme Coordination: Support the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the TEEB AgriFood Project in India.
- Policy Advisory: Provide strategic support to national ministries and stakeholders on advancing sustainable food systems transformation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and other local and international partners.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct policy analyses, evaluations, and data-driven assessments of ecosystem services, environmental economics, and sustainability strategies.
- Outreach and Communication: Develop knowledge materials, reports, background papers, and presentations to disseminate findings.

- Budget & Planning: Manage programme budgets, financial reports, and work plans to ensure timely delivery of outputs.

Professional Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in project or programme management, especially in:

- At least two (2) years of experience in agri-food systems management.
- Experience in India on food systems or sustainability is highly desirable.
- Experience with GIS and spatial data modeling is required.
- Background in data analytics is an asset.
