The Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT) is recruiting a Fundraising Manager in Geneva, Switzerland. The role focuses on fundraising strategy, donor relationships, grant management and securing institutional and private funding.

APT is a Swiss international non-governmental human rights organisation working to prevent torture and ill-treatment through advocacy, cooperation, dialogue and partnerships.

The Fundraising Manager will report to the Secretary General and work with senior advisers, operations, finance and communications colleagues.

The position is 100% full-time with an open-ended contract and an expected start date of November 16, 2026, or the earliest available date.

Key Responsibilities

The Fundraising Manager will:

Develop and implement APT’s fundraising strategy.
Maintain relationships with existing donors and funding partners.
Identify new fundraising and partnership opportunities.
Prepare funding applications and donor reports.
Coordinate grant management and donor compliance.
Maintain donor and grant databases.
Track fundraising deadlines and follow-up actions.
Support fundraising communications and evidence-based reporting.
Build relationships with fundraising and philanthropy professionals.
Represent APT at relevant meetings and events.
Supervise interns and external consultants when required.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

A university degree or equivalent qualification in fundraising, marketing, philanthropy, international relations, project management or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in fundraising, donor relations, grant management or organisational development.
Experience securing and managing funding from public and private institutional donors and individuals.
Experience preparing complex funding proposals and donor reports.
Experience working in an international and multicultural environment.
Strong writing, communication and relationship-building skills.
Excellent strategic, organisational and analytical abilities.
Confidence working with budgets and financial information.
Full professional proficiency in English and French.

Experience with Swiss donor and philanthropic networks and working autonomously in a small NGO would be an advantage.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers a gross monthly salary of CHF 7,500 to CHF 8,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
