About the Green Climate Fund Business Development Unit
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) Liaison Office within GIZ’s Client and Business Development Department is responsible for:
- Managing GIZ’s relationship with the Green Climate Fund
- Developing project proposals submitted to the Green Climate Fund
- Supporting implementation of GCF-funded projects
- Coordinating with GIZ teams in Germany and internationally
- Monitoring developments in climate finance and providing strategic recommendations
During the internship, participants gain valuable exposure to international development cooperation, climate finance mechanisms, project design, and partnerships.
Internship Responsibilities
Interns will support project development managers across a wide range of activities, including:
- Assisting with project concept development
- Coordinating project preparation activities
