About the NASA OSTEM Internship Program
NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM) Internship Program offers short-term, project-based internships designed to prepare students for careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and other professional disciplines.
Interns work directly with NASA mentors on meaningful projects that support the agency’s mission while gaining valuable practical experience.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be at least 16 years old at the time of application.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be enrolled full-time or part-time in a U.S.-accredited certificate or degree-granting technical school, college or university.
- Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.
- Recent graduates may apply for internship sessions occurring within the three sessions immediately following graduation.
NASA welcomes applicants from both STEM and non-STEM academic disciplines.
Internship Duration
Internship lengths include:
- Spring: 15 weeks
- Summer: 10 weeks
- Fall: 15 weeks
