About the West-Central Africa Regional Hub
PATH’s West-Central Africa Regional Hub oversees programmes and country operations across:

Position Overview
Position: Regional HUB & Country Director, West-Central Africa
Employment Type: Full-Time

Reporting to the Chief of Africa Region, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for both the Regional Hub and PATH Nigeria while overseeing regional programmes, partnerships, fundraising, business development, and organizational performance.
The role also serves as PATH’s senior representative across West and Central Africa.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Lead PATH’s West-Central Africa Regional Hub.
- Provide strategic direction across multiple country programmes.
- Oversee programme implementation and performance.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with governments, donors, NGOs, and international organizations.
- Lead regional business development and fundraising initiatives.
- Expand PATH’s regional health portfolio.
- Ensure financial sustainability and operational excellence.
- Drive organizational growth and innovation.
- Strengthen knowledge sharing across country offices.
- Ensure compliance, governance, safeguarding, and risk management.
- Lead security planning and crisis management.
- Represent PATH at regional and international forums.
- Mentor and develop senior leadership teams across the region.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Medicine, Business, or a related field.
- Approximately 15 years of progressive leadership experience in international development, humanitarian assistance, or global health.
- At least 8 years of leadership experience working in developing countries.
- Extensive experience leading multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven experience managing regional programmes.
- Strong fundraising and donor engagement experience.
- Experience working with governments, NGOs, multilateral organizations, and development partners.
- Excellent strategic planning and organizational leadership skills.
- Strong financial oversight and programme management expertise.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Fluency in English (French language skills are an added advantage).
- Willingness to travel up to 30% internationally.
