About the Role

The analyst will support the Spotlight Initiative 2.0 Programme in Sierra Leone by managing data flows across UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA and UN Women.

The role will strengthen information management systems and contribute to reporting, accountability, coordinated responses and measurement of programme results, particularly in efforts to address violence against women and girls.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Support information management, monitoring and knowledge management plans.
Establish and manage shared information repositories.
Promote secure and ethical data management.
Support data governance and information-sharing procedures.
Map organizations and services working on violence against women and girls and harmful practices.
Conduct service mapping and referral pathway assessments.
Analyze data to identify service gaps and duplication.
Support data quality assessments.
Harmonize data standards and reporting templates.
Develop dashboards, fact sheets, infographics and maps.
Present data findings and contribute to briefing and communication materials.
Provide technical assistance and training to implementing partners.
Document lessons learned and good practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Information Management, Political Science, Economics, Development Studies or another closely related field.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field combined with at least two additional years of qualifying experience may be considered instead.

For applicants with a master’s degree, professional work experience is not required. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree must have at least two years of relevant professional experience in information management and data analysis within the development sector.

Desired experience includes:

Data harmonization, analysis and visualization.
Power BI, Tableau or equivalent tools.
Data quality assessments and databases.
Ethical handling of gender-based violence data.
Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
KoboToolbox, ODK or similar digital data collection platforms.
Stakeholder engagement and partnership coordination.
Experience working within the UN system or developing countries.

Fluency in English is required.
