Background & Job Description
The consultancy supports a project implemented by UN-Habitat, the São Paulo Council of Architecture and Urbanism (CAU/SP) and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC). The project aims to strengthen professional capacity for Technical Assistance for Social Housing and support sustainable and equitable housing solutions.
The consultant will report to the Head of Brazil Office and contribute to research, training, community engagement and project reporting.
Key Responsibilities
The consultant will:
- Analyse information and data on ATHIS practices.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops.
- Support participatory data collection in selected communities.
- Engage social and community leaders to identify housing needs.
- Translate research findings into practical inputs for ATHIS activities.
- Facilitate capacity-building activities in São José do Rio Preto.
- Support ATHIS training sessions and learning evaluation.
- Review deliverables from training facilitators.
- Develop tools, templates and minimum standards.
- Assess participants’ learning outcomes.
- Prepare reports on training and field activities.
- Support the final report and prioritisation matrix.

Qualifications and Experience
