Key Responsibilities

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for:

Managing a multi-country grant portfolio and ensuring donor compliance.
Coordinating program implementation across regional teams and partners.
Supporting program inception, including Theory of Change and MEL planning.
Managing relationships with in-country partner organizations.
Supporting partner-led and flexible funding mechanisms.
Coordinating monitoring, evaluation and learning activities.
Tracking programmatic, political, security and civic-space risks.
Supporting safeguarding and contingency planning.
Coordinating partner participation in international advocacy opportunities.
Preparing consolidated narrative and financial reports for donors.
Working with finance and grants teams on disbursements, compliance checks and sanctions screening.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have significant experience managing complex, multi-country grants in areas such as human rights, LGBTIQ+ rights or international development.

Relevant experience includes:

Working with civil society organizations in restrictive, high-risk or conflict-affected environments.
Grantmaking and partner-led program design.
Monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks.
Donor compliance and reporting.
Risk management and safeguarding.
Cultural competency and understanding of SOGIESC dynamics.
Experience supporting advocacy with regional and multilateral human rights mechanisms.

English and Spanish are mandatory. Additional language skills relevant to program regions are considered an asset.

Travel to program regions may also be required, subject to security conditions.

Salary and Location
