Associate Research Manager Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
The Associate Research Manager will have substantial leadership and analytical responsibilities.
Key duties include:
- Managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary Emergency and Monitoring Team.
- Providing strategic and technical direction to team members.
- Managing recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews and professional development.
- Coordinating multiple research cycles in a fast-changing environment.

Associate Research Manager Requirements
Applicants should have at least three years of relevant experience in a humanitarian setting, including areas such as assessments, monitoring and evaluation, research design or analysis.
Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills are required, together with an understanding of the humanitarian aid system and experience managing teams in complex operational environments.
A relevant master’s degree or equivalent qualification is required. Suitable disciplines may include international studies, development, humanitarian response, data science, political science and related fields.
Applicants should also have excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise analytical reports, briefs and presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required, while experience with Kobo, qualitative analysis tools or GIS is considered an advantage.

Salary and Benefits
