The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has officially launched applications for the Young Graduates’ Professional Immersion Programme (YGP) 2027 Cohort, offering young graduates from across West Africa an opportunity to gain practical work experience within ECOWAS institutions and agencies. The programme is designed to strengthen youth employability, enhance professional skills, and promote regional integration by providing structured workplace placements in multicultural environments.
As part of the ECOWAS Nnamdi Azikiwe Academic Mobility Programme (ENAAMS), this initiative helps bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice while preparing participants for careers in regional development, public administration, and international cooperation.
Applications opened on 31 July 2026, and interested candidates have until 31 August 2026 at 23:59 Nigerian Time (GMT+1) to submit their applications through the official ECOWAS platform.
About the ECOWAS Young Graduates’ Professional Immersion Programme
The Young Graduates’ Professional Immersion Programme was established to address youth unemployment and underemployment across West Africa by providing graduates with meaningful professional experience within ECOWAS institutions.
Participants will work alongside experienced professionals while contributing to the implementation of regional programmes that support economic integration, governance, education, social development, and regional cooperation.

- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one ECOWAS official language.
