The Lead M&E Specialist will ensure that project results are accurately measured, documented, and used to improve program quality and accountability.
Role Purpose
The Lead M&E Specialist provides strategic leadership for the project’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Information Management System.
The position is responsible for generating reliable, gender-disaggregated evidence that demonstrates project impact while strengthening data systems across consortium partners.
The successful candidate will help ensure that evidence generated informs learning, advocacy, and future programming.
Key Responsibilities
Strengthen Monitoring and Evaluation Systems
You will:
- Conduct M&E system gap analyses
- Strengthen project monitoring frameworks
- Operationalize the Results Framework
- Develop performance indicators
- Improve verification tools
- Ensure high-quality data collection
- Implement data quality assurance systems
- Promote gender-responsive monitoring
Lead Partner Coordination
Working with multiple consortium partners, you will:
- Harmonize monitoring tools

Manage M&E Teams

Required Qualifications

Experience Required

- 7–10 years of progressive Monitoring and Evaluation experience.
- Experience managing large donor-funded development projects.
- Strong background in Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Experience designing databases and digital beneficiary tracking systems.
- Extensive expertise in Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment programming.
- Experience coordinating multiple implementing partners or consortiums.
- Familiarity with SASA! methodology is highly desirable.
