The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), an agency of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), has re-advertised its Project Management Graduate Internship Programme for 2026. About the Internship Programme

Duties & Experience You Will Gain

Interns will gain hands-on exposure to:

  • Project planning and coordination
  • Monitoring and tracking project progress
  • Preparing project documentation and reports
  • Working with project management methodologies
  • Supporting business units with administrative and operational project functions
  • Learning project governance and compliance processes

This experience will strengthen your employability and prepare you for junior project management roles in the public and private sectors.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Project Management
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Coursework or certifications such as CAPM or PRINCE2 Foundation (advantageous)
  • South African citizenship
