About the Programme

The RISE Global Programme supports the inclusion of refugees in national education, social protection, and economic systems. Key Responsibilities

The intern will support the programme coordination team with:

  • Conducting research on refugee inclusion, migration, and development policy.

  • Drafting concept notes, factsheets, and research materials.
  • Documenting good practices and lessons learned.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should:

  • Be studying social sciences, international relations, peace and conflict studies, refugee and migration studies, or a related field.
  • Have a basic understanding of displacement and refugee protection frameworks.
  • Understand humanitarian and development approaches.
  • Have initial experience supporting international projects.
  • Demonstrate strong research, writing, and organisational skills.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken German and English. French is an advantage.

Important: Applicants must currently be enrolled as students or have graduated no more than six months before the internship start date.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should be studying social sciences, international relations, peace and conflict studies, refugee and migration studies, or a related field.

Candidates should have a basic understanding of refugee protection, forced displacement, humanitarian assistance, and international development. Familiarity with the Global Compact on Refugees and the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus is beneficial.

Other requirements include:

  • Initial experience supporting projects in an international context.
  • Strong research, writing, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English.
  • The ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • A structured approach to administrative and project-related tasks.

Fluency in French is an advantage.
