Village Enterprise is recruiting an Instructional Design Coordinator – East Africa to support the design, adaptation and quality assurance of learning solutions across its Technical Assistance portfolio.

The opportunity is available across Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Kenya, with applications closing on September 28, 2026.

Village Enterprise works to reduce extreme poverty in rural Africa through entrepreneurship, innovation and collective action, with a focus on empowering women, refugees and youth.

The Instructional Design Coordinator will help develop learning materials, curricula and digital learning solutions that support the organization’s Graduation Approach and can be adapted for government and partner systems.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support:

Designing and adapting curricula and learning materials.
Developing digital and blended learning solutions.
Coordinating co-design projects with stakeholders.
Reviewing and evaluating instructional quality.
Maintaining curriculum repositories.
Coaching facilitators and partners.
Supporting training-of-trainers activities.
Coordinating learning projects and collaborations.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

A degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Organizational Learning or a related field.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in curriculum development and blended learning.
Experience developing both instructor-led and self-paced training.
Experience with e-learning tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise 360 or H5P.
Strong leadership, communication and project coordination skills.
