UNDP is currently accepting applications for a Social Media & Multimedia Production Intern with the Planet Hub, Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS). The internship is home-based and focuses on social media, communications, graphic design and multimedia production. The application deadline is September 25, 2026.

The intern will support the Food Systems team with communications and content production activities. The work includes supporting UNDP Food Systems social media channels and helping develop digital communications materials.

The role reports to the Senior Knowledge Learning and Impact Advisor.

Key Responsibilities

The selected intern may support:

Creating content for LinkedIn and YouTube.
Designing social media cards, visuals and infographics.
Editing videos, reels and event highlights.
Formatting communications materials.
Preparing presentations, briefing notes, meeting minutes and reports.
Supporting campaigns and communications strategies.
Assisting with internal communications reporting.
Providing other communications and multimedia support.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following education requirements:

Be in the final academic year of a bachelor’s-level university programme; or
Be enrolled in a graduate programme; or
Have recently graduated and, if selected, start the internship within one year of graduation.

Relevant fields include communications, journalism, marketing, international development or related disciplines.

Applicants should also have communication, writing and editing skills, organizational abilities, knowledge of LinkedIn and social media platforms, and experience or familiarity with content creation, social media, video editing or multimedia production.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is relevant. Knowledge of AI creative tools such as Runway, Adobe Firefly or ElevenLabs is listed as an asset. English fluency is required, while Spanish is an advantage.

Is the UNDP Internship Paid?
