CARE is a global humanitarian and development organisation that provides support and services to millions of people around the world. The organisation is seeking professionals who are committed to its mission, willing to collaborate across teams and able to contribute to learning, innovation and results.
This position is particularly suited to cybersecurity professionals who have developed expertise in AI and machine learning security, including large language model security, adversarial testing, AI governance and cloud security.
Key Responsibilities
A major responsibility of the AI Security Engineer will be assessing and strengthening the security of AI and machine learning systems.
The successful candidate will evaluate AI models, APIs and inference endpoints against threats such as prompt injection, model inversion and data poisoning. The role will also involve threat modelling for generative AI and agentic AI deployments.
Candidates will conduct red-team exercises against large language models and AI-powered applications, including jailbreak testing and adversarial prompt analysis. They will also monitor AI workloads for unusual behaviour, model drift and potential signs of compromise.
Another important area will be security architecture and enterprise AI integration. The engineer will work with engineering and IT teams to integrate security controls into the AI and machine learning development lifecycle.
The position will involve designing and enforcing least-privilege access controls for AI systems and agents and evaluating enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and Anthropic Claude.
